My La Calaca Print Exchange has arrived.

Guess what I got in the mail the other day? My selection from the La Calaca  International Print Exchange! In exchange for this linocut, I got a fantastic set of skeleton prints done by people from all over the world. This has been the second year that I've participated in this show and I've been really impressed with the quality of prints. Eek! It's Halloween already! This month has flown by already and I almost didn't have a post for today. You see, I've been quite busy preparing for the Christmas season and taking an online course through Pikaland. I'm into week two of this fantastic course on Marketing Online for Visual Artists and it's really made me think about new ways in presenting my work professionally. I'd recommend one of the courses to anyone.

Now I thought I'd shown you an artist who has really inspiring work for the season. I saw Scott Radke's work via Facebook and was entranced by his creepy and compelling sculptures. Take a look around his site and you'll know what I mean when I saw he's created beautiful paintings in 3D form. Love all of it.

As many of you on-line can attest, there are many wonderful people in art and craft field to meet. I wish I could say that I meet as many generous and helpful people in my day to day life as I do through Etsy, and Twitter. A Give-away to start the New Year

I hope everyone's holidays were good ones and you're getting ready to see the new year in. For myself, I'm keen on de-cluttering and organizing my home and studio for 2010. To help me keep on task I use plenty of lists and calendars. I thought it might be nice to give one of my art calendars to one of my readers or fans so that they too, could start planning 2010 away.
